In transition
Before the 90s concrete structures were rarely built. Soon after the communist regime fell and the public was no more public, an intense rush of building domino structures defined the landscape for the last 30 years. Due to the simplicity of concrete, quickly the inhabitants built these mutant structures everywhere. The need for extra space prevailed. Only the public buildings were immune. A structural representation of the program. A reflection of the painfully slow transition. A picture of the political situation. What if the key to speed up the transition is privatizing all the public assets? Even the government becomes a private corporate. Then the true need for extra space will prevail.
